Established in 1977, The Coffee Grinder has been brewing up more than just a friendly cup of joe. Since 2007, Elizabeth and Bhien Maranon have been proud to offer the personalized service you’ve come to know and love. Following a childhood dream to run her own coffee shop, Elizabeth turned from a career at a mortgage company and went into business with her husband Bhien, an ex-Navy post office retiree. The lovely lady who works on weekends is Elizabeth’s sister, Edwina who drives to Tustin every weekend from San Diego to help run the family business.
The Coffee Grinder has a friendly, relaxed vibe, like you’re hanging out in your friend’s living room. Try out the four different daily brews – they’re roasted fresh weekly using the same vendor since 1977. Enjoy a game of Scrabble or chess while you wile away the hours. Elizabeth and Bhien will customize your drink, making it your own signature brew. Once they get to know you, they’ll even have it ready and waiting for you before you’ve made it into the shop!
In addition to offering tasty coffee drinks, The Coffee Grinder also does fresh sandwiches, delicious desserts and pastries, tea drinks, and home cooked snacks. Get your tenth sandwich “free” when you join the Sandwich Club, or use your punch card to get money off your coffee beans when you buy ten pounds.
