Belacan Grill has been tantalizing our palates with Malaysian specialties since November 2009. Originally opened by Chef Ken Tan in Redondo Beach seven years ago, the food and service quickly rose to a level of distinction. Restaurant regular Dean Indot partnered with Ken to open a second location in Tustin, bringing managing partner Jimmy Niwa into the mix.
Belacan Grill uses fresh local ingredients in their array of tempting treats. Born and raised in Malaysia, Ken has taken the flavors of Malay, Thai, India and China and created a menu full off indulgence. The outstanding menu has something for everyone – sweet, spicy or savory. Ken has over 30 years of cooking experience having worked in his native Malaysia, Holland and Europe.
In addition to being the only Malaysian cuisine in Orange County, Belacan Grill offers a full bar, one private room for special occasions and one semi-private room.
